William Henry Harrison was the 9th President of the United States, and the last President born as a British subject. He was 68 years during his inauguration, making him the 3rd oldest to become President, behind Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan. He was the first President to die in office, and had the shortest tenure ever at 31 days. He died of typhoid and pneumonia. His last words, assumed to be directed at Vice President John Tyler, were “ Sir, I wish you to understand the true principles of the government. I wish them carried out. I ask nothing more.”
