Washington has been called “The Father of His Country,” and upon his death his eulogy read “First in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen.” He has been memorialized by monuments, geographical locations, arts, stamps, and currency. Many historians rate him to be among the top greatest American Presidents. He is definitely one of the most influential Presidents in American history. He became an international symbol for liberation and nationalism.
