James Madison Jr., was the 4th President of the United States, better known as “The Father of the Constitution” for drafting the US Constitution and championing the Bill of Rights. After the Constitution had been drafted, he became one of the leaders in the movement to ratify it. Together with Alexander Hamilton and John Jay, they wrote the Federalist Papers, a series of pro-ratification essays considered to be one of the most influential works of political science in American history.
