Tim Allen is popularly known as Tim “The Tool-Man” Taylor on the long-running television sitcom Home Improvement, as well as the voice behind Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story franchise. However, the American comedian and actor didn’t always have that wholesome reputation. Allen was once arrested at an airport in Michigan for possession of over 650 grams of cocaine. He was convicted of drug trafficking, and he spent two years and four months in prison in Minnesota. Allen said his time behind bars put him “in a position of great humility” and when he got out, he promptly made amends to family and friends and refocused his goals.
Back on track, he played the main character in the ABC sitcom, he starred in Disney’s The Santa Clause, and he wrote the New York Times bestseller “Don’t Stand Too Close to a Naked Man.” Allen went on to star in many movies, including the Toy Story series and the sequel of The Santa Clause.
