This is a photo of Queen Elizabeth II shooting a British L85 battle rifle in 1993. It was taken during a royal visit to Surrey’s National Shooting Centre, and it appears that the Queen thoroughly enjoyed the target practice. Queen Elizabeth II is the only living head of state in the world to have served during World War II, and she was the only female member of the British royal family to do so, joining the Women’s Auxiliary Territorial Service and learning how to drive a military truck.
