The Belsen Concentration Camp On Fire

This gruesome photo isn’t just of a fire of a burning building, but it actually captured the Bergen concentration camp in Germany up in flames after the British Army ordered it to be burned to the ground. That’s because German soldiers had buried tons of dead bodies there, and the allies wanted to make sure that they wouldn’t spread disease all over. Despite the smoke and the stench, hundreds of people came out to watch as the camp was burned to the ground, and it was probably a memory they were never able to forget.
