During the war, there was so much destruction going on. Bombs, bullets, grenades and other types of weapons found their way into homes, buildings, and people, basically wreaking havoc everywhere. This gorgeous London library was sadly ripped to shreds by a German airstrike. Thankfully, it didn’t get everything and hundreds of books remained intact. Despite the ruin and rubble, avid book enthusiasts still managed to come and pick out something to read to keep them busy during the times they weren’t fighting for their lives.
