On February 11th, 1943, a photograph of two impeccably dressed older women was taken as they are standing in the middle of a pile of rubble, probably in the center of where their homes once stood. The women lived in Newbury City in England, and this was the result of a Luftwaffe airstrike on their hometown, which basically left nothing for the residents and their family members to come back to. This is yet another image that shows how atrocious the spoils of the Second World War were back then.
