Colonel Anthony Joseph Drexel Biddle Jr. happened to be the son of a millionaire. His father, who shared his name, was the son of banker, hence the reason why their family had so much money. Col. Biddle Jr. had quite the military reputation, having risen through the ranks due to his devotion to his life in service. This photograph supposedly shows how he was told an entire bunch of Marine trainees to pretend to kill him using their bayonets, but as the story goes, he managed to disarm all of them. Not everyone believes it though.
