There’s nothing easy about war, especially back when the comforts of the world were incredibly basic compared to what they’re like now. So back during WWII, since soldiers were stationed in areas, sometimes with no place to lay their heads. For this Royal Air Force pilot, he chose to take a rest in the middle of a field in between his flights to fight off the Germans. He may look very peaceful here, but it was a whole other ballgame when he got into his plane to fight, with many pilots never getting the chance to make it back on the ground.
