Hopeless Among the Wreckage

This photograph shows three young children sitting helplessly beside the rubble of what once used to be their home in a London suburb. Sadly, these children would be the first of many that would lose their homes to air raids by the Germany army all over England. By the time the worst of the raid was over, they would find that everything they had, their homes and belongings, were in complete shambles, leaving them with nothing. Sometimes, that included their parents and family members, leaving them orphans too.
