Snipers were a huge deal during the war. It was one of the skills that the Germans were very good at, managing to hide behind enemy lines and shoot targets from far away without being detected. This photo shows an American soldier being targeted by one such snipper, as he attempts to dodge a bullet, running for cover behind a United States Sherman tank. No one knows whether he or his two other comrades hiding behind the building made it out alive, this was probably the plight of tons of soldiers day in, day out during the war, as they tried to stay alive.
