The Infamous Railway Gun

Considering the kind of destruction that Germany wanted to inflict across the world during World War II, they decided to create one of the most massive artillery guns there ever was. Known as the Railway Gun, this humongous 1,350-ton weapon would travel across nations on the back of a train, managing to hit targets as far away as 47 kilometers, or a little over 29 miles away. It also shot a single round of ammunition every 30 to 45 minutes and caused a major carnage wherever it went.
