Basic necessities and luxuries were not available to most during the war. Soldiers were usually subject to the essentials such as water, food, and lodging, and not even getting to bathe, brush their teeth or get a haircut easily. This Canadian Air Force pilot managed to get in a haircut while in the middle of the Tunisian desert in North Africa. Considering some of the fiercest and bloodiest wars took place on this land, this photo of quiet and simple joys of a haircut was the complete juxtaposition of what truly happened here.
