Don’t Sun Starve Your Baby!

Cloudfront

If you’ve ever had a baby, then you know how important it is for them to get their daily fix of Vitamin D, and sun is the best way to do exactly that. But in the 1930s, Du Pont actually marketed their sun lamp to brand new parents, telling them “Don’t Sun-Starve Your Baby!” You’d think that parents would just bring their babies outside to get a bit of fresh sunshine, but then they couldn’t just leave their babies in the grass while doing it could they? This might have worked back then, but there is no way that they could have ever convinced a single parent to buy this crazy contraption today, unless maybe you market it as a tanning bed!
