Another Doctor Promoting Smoking Cigarettes

Lucky Strike was another American Tobacco Company that happened to get doctors to promote their cigarettes. Back in 1930, the company enlisted doctor’s to give them credibility, saying that “20,679 Physicians say ‘Luckies are less irritating’ It’s toasted.” This is because they were one of the only cigarette companies who toasted their tobacco leaves instead of drying them up in the sun. All we know is that regardless of how their cigarettes were made, they still caused long-term effects like emphysema, lung cancer and heart disease.
