While you can’t fault Lloyd Manufacturing Co. for promoting the use of cocaine as toothache soothers since it was once legal to use for medicinal purposes, there’s no way that it would ever be allowed today. It’s just incredibly ironic that the one drug that has managed to ruin many lives was once sold for 15 cents as an “instantaneous cure!” for such things as toothaches and the like. These days, many teens and adults alike take blow, as it’s commonly called, as their own version of an instantaneous cure from their normal, everyday life. But the price is far steeper these day than it was all those years ago.
