This ad created for Tampax, the widely popular female feminine products company, may be written in French, but even if you don’t understand what it says, the photo speaks for itself. What you are seeing is a fish dangling from a woman’s crotch, which is enough to tell us that they are insinuating that women smell like fish down there. To add fuel to the fire, the tagline “Je suis comme un poisson dans l’eau” is roughly translated into “I am like a fish in the water,” which just proves our point. Regardless of what Tampax is trying to sell, the entire ad is just outright offensive.
