The Entire Idea That The World Belongs to Men Is Just Plain Wrong

This is another advertisement that shows a subservient woman leaning at the foot of the bed as her husband waits to be served his breakfast. The fact that the man has his hands behind his head and the woman is kneeling beside him shows unfair dominance and superiority that men believed they had over women back then. Worse is the caption that reads, “Show her it’s a man’s world.” No wonder women have felt the need to fight for gender equality when they have been portrayed as the weaker, more submissive sex since the beginning of time. If this came out now, the next ad would probably show a photo of the woman chocking the man with the very tie it’s meant to promote.
