Yup, That’s Baby In Cellophane

If this ad was still around today, you can just imagine the number of parenting and mommy groups crying bloody murder because honestly, that’s exactly what it would be. While Du Pont’s tagline insists that “The best things in life come in Cellophane,” a baby would be dead in just a couple of minutes if they really wrapped one in it. While babies truly are some of the best things in life, it would have been just as acceptable to have used fruit, flowers, and food in this ad. We get that babies are precious, but it’s just incredibly disturbing to see one wrapped up in clear plastic knowing that there is no way they could be comfortable, or alive, for that matter.
