So Does This Mean A Woman Belongs On The Floor?

This 1974 ad for Weyenberg Shoes happened to be in Playboy magazine, showing a woman naked on the ground beside a shoe with a caption that said, “Keep her where she belongs…” Why a woman would belong on the floor beside a pair of shoes, while naked at that, is really incredibly misogynist to say the least. Again, it’s another sexist advertisement that’s trying to show that a woman’s place is to be subservient to men, allowing men to just walk all over them where these men can show their dominance over what they consider the weaker sex.
