Not the men really need much a push to buy nice cars when they have the chance, but back in the 50s, Pontiac Star Chief thought it was okay to be totally sexist while trying to sell their cars. Although they were promoting “maximum leg-room,” they used the tagline “Spread Your Legs!” while showing a woman sitting in the backseat and a man at her side insinuating that he’s waiting for her to do just that.
