Although this particular ad is from the appliance company Thermador, selling their three-in-one built-in microwave oven, hot food server and self-cleaning oven that happens to be “stacked for convenience,” it sure looks like it’s attempting to sell the woman on the chair. While it goes on to say that it’s “strategically stacked and endowed,” the oven isn’t really the item getting the once over now is it? Sadly these companies didn’t think their super appliances were enough to stand on their own, they needed to put a woman on display to get the job done, no matter how sexist the entire thing was.
