Even German luxury carmaker BMW stooped down to the level of showing women as horrible drivers in order to sell their cars. Their ad shares, “The miniautomatic. For simple driving,” which basically means that one, they think women are simple minded. And two, they can’t be trusted not to suck behind the wheel, so make sure you give them a car that’s easy to handle. And what’s even crazier is that this ad was released in the 1960s, when women were clamoring for gender equality and fighting for an end to sexism. Funny that all the ad also insinuates that females are horrible drivers since statistically, more men get into accidents than women.
