Nothing In This Ad Makes Sense

Apparently back in the day, companies like Mr. Leggs needed to show women as inferior beings in order to make a man feel like a man. While these two people are featured at the beach, the man – who’s holding a shovel in his hand – seems to have buried the woman in the sand. This ad is extra ridiculous because it portrays that the man is so irresistible in his pants that she just can’t keep her hands off of him, but “Good thing he kept his head.” Of course one has to wonder, why would anyone be wearing a pair of pants to the beach in the first place? It’s just another sexist example of gender inequality and insensitiveness towards women.
