Apparently A Wife’s Looks Are Dependent on How Hard She Works

Cloudfront

Kellogg’s is the biggest name in cereal, but back in 1932, they were totally backwards when it came to promoting their vitamin-rich cereals. In this ad, they show the wife fully dressed with heels and all, topped with an apron and a feather duster to complete her look! But it’s really their caption that’s the winner here, claiming that “So the harder a wife works, the cuter she looks!” What Kellogg’s Pep was basically saying was that eating a bowl of their cereal will not only make a woman a super wife, but she’ll look cute while doing it too. Nuts!
