These days, kids toys, school materials, and playgrounds are put through some very intense regulations to make sure that they are safe for children to use. Back in the day, a number of playgrounds were made using concrete fall surfaces, lead-painted metal merry-go-rounds and monkey bars, as well as bare metal equipment, which would burn anyone that sat down on it during the day when the noontime sun was the strongest.
