Lawn Darts

Edgar’s Nyder

Lawn darts was an incredibly popular lawn game played in the 1980s. Much like the horseshoe game, you took large, heavy and pointy darts and threw them into the air in an attempt to get them inside a ring on the lawn. But when a 1987 game involving a 7-year old girl was injured and killed after a lawn dart landed on her head, the game was banned forever. Crazy to think that kids were allowed to play with something that had 23,000 pounds of crushing power per square inch.
