Zombie Wine

Paste Magazine

It was back in 1960 when federal regulations put a stop to manufacturing wine sold with branding that had the word “zombie” on it. And while this was made illegal, it wasn’t the only one. Wine branding is actually not allowed to use other words including “Cuba Libre,” “martini,” “Collins” or any other word or phrase that will make consumers think that it is related to other popular alcohol drinks on the market. Of course if there was such a thing as actual zombie wine on the market, even if it didn’t call it that precisely, we’re pretty sure it would be illegal too.
