Unpasteurized Milk

Leara Farms

Unpasteurized milk, otherwise known as raw milk, has been illegal since 1987. This was when the FDA made it a law that any milk that is sold for human consumption must be pasteurized first, banning any interstate commerce. Although milk laws are different from one state to another, most ban the sale of any raw milk for use or consumption for anything other than on-farm use. And the sale of raw milk is basically banned in all grocery stores across the United States.
