It might seem like a huge shock that there is actually chocolate on this list, but the highly popular Kinder Surprise Eggs is yet another item that is considered a banned item within the United States. That’s because the “surprise” portion of the chocolate is actually a tiny toy that is inedible. A 1930 U.S. law actually prohibits any candy that is not completely edible because it poses as a choking hazard to children. But in order to bypass this law, Kinder made a new product called Kinder Joy, which seals the toy inside the egg separately from the edible chocolate.
