Richard Milhous Nixon, called “Tricky Dick” by his political opponents, is unfortunately infamously known for his involvement in the Watergate scandal where members of his administration were caught breaking into the Democrats’ headquarters at the Watergate complex office, and illegal activities and attempts at sabotage were brought to light. Though Nixon denied all accusations of wrongdoing, he lost much political support, and he chose to resign instead of getting impeached.
