Old Buildings in North Korea

One of the things that tourists are not allowed to take pictures of are scenes that display flaws in the country’s buildings and other infrastructure. The picture above is already in violation of this in several ways since the building on the picture is in a sad condition, and the bright flash of the photographer’s camera highlights the fact that there are no streetlights on and the houses also do not have electricity. Eric Lafforgue he was able to take this picture on the way back to his hotel. He was asked by the guides to not shoot with flash. According to Lafforgue, he was told “The official reason was to avoid scaring people.”
