Here is a picture of two locals diligently carrying heavy sacks up and down Manphok Valley at Mt. Myohyang. This exercise is supposedly for weight training. Taking a photograph of such a scene might be construed as illegal since the thin young men look exhausted and haggard from carrying the sacks, this may be construed as taking a picture of a scene that depicts poverty. If you do go to North Korea and are intrigued by some individuals or scenes, it would be best to ask for the permission of your tour guide to keep yourself safe from any repercussions. Unless you want to be a brave and courageous photographer who really wants to show the truth even if you face punishment.
