A Girl “Using” a Computer

The photo of a girl using a computer seems common and innocent enough. However, the photo above was prohibited from being taken and would have gotten the photographer into a lot of trouble if the tour guide realized that it wasn’t deleted. By the way, it is acceptable to take photos of kids using computers. Any guess why it’s a prohibited photo? Any idea? Well, it’s not because it’s still using an old Cathode-Ray Tube (CRT) monitor. Give-up yet? Well, it’s because the monitor is not even turned-on. The computer isn’t working and the girls is just pretending to use the computer to make it look like it is common place for most locals to use computers. Remember, in North Korea, you are not allowed to photograph any situation that may resemble poverty or hardship.
