The scene that can be seen in the photograph is a fairly common when you are outside the urban areas of North Korea. However, taking a picture of such a scene is illegal since it violates a lot of the rules that is established by the North Korean authorities. It shows signs of poverty, because of the following reasons: the river is littered with metal scraps, it also shows that a North Korean is forced to take a bath un an unclean river. In addition, a tourist must first ask if a photograph can be taken; a tourist is not allowed to freely photograph the country and its people with permission.
