The photograph above shows a North Korean soldier resting alongside the rode. It doesn’t seem too bad since the soldier is just resting. However, if you do take a similar picture during your trip to North Korea, expect your tour guide to ask you to delete that photo. The reason for this is because tourists are prohibited from taking pictures of the military and it also shows a member of the military slacking off while in uniform. North Korean officials believe that their rules and censorship is required in order to keep the people under their control, this is to prevent the upsurge of criticisms against the government.
