North Korean Ladies Cleaning a Clean Street

The scene in the picture shows street cleaners pretending to clean an already clean street while a malnourished soldier oversees their activity. This scene was taken in one of the parks in the capital city of Pyongyang. This photograph is illegal because of two (2) things. First, since tourists are not allowed to take pictures of anyone from the military. Second, the picture is illegal since it also depicts a scene that is obviously just an act for the benefit of the tourists. What sane street cleaner would keep cleaning an already clean street? But that just shows what kind of country North Korea is. The authorities prefer to spend time, energy and resources to maintain a facade that is obvious to anyone with a common sense.
