A Woman Between A Lot of Soldiers

The picture above shows a woman standing in the middle of a crowd of soldiers. This picture is fascinating, since the woman’s pink Chosŏn-ot (traditional North Korean dress) provides a clear contrast to the drab color of the military uniform worn by the men in the crowd. No matter how fascinating, mesmerizing, or well taken the picture is the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK or North Korea) does not allow visitors or tourists to take photos of military personnel individually or even in a crowd. Only officially sanctioned photographers and photos are allowed. This picture is considered to be illegally taken since North Korean officials do not allow tourists to take pictures of the military.
