This Ivy League university was founded in 1754 and is the fifth-oldest college in the country, and holds the distinction of being the first school to grant the M.D. degree. One of the fourteen founding members of the AAU, it also awards the Pulitzer Prize every year. Its twenty schools include three undergraduate and 13 graduate and professional schools offer 115 departments, and has over 200 research centers and institutes involved in health and medicine, neuroscience and psychology, earth, climate, and environmental science, as well as technology and engineering.
