Princeton University was originally founded as the College of New Jersey in 1746 and is a member of the prestigious Ivy League. The fourth-oldest college in the country, the 500-acre campus is home to six undergraduate residential colleges and one graduate residential college, with 98% of undergraduates living in the campus. The school enrolls 5,260 undergraduates, 60% of which receive financial aid, and 2,845 graduate students across 42 doctoral, 37 academic, and 18 master’s degree programs. Popular majors include Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, and Social Sciences. Aside from competing in NCAA’s Division I with 37 varsity teams, student social life is also bolstered with over 300 student organizations.
