The University of Wyoming was established in 1886, and it has nine schools and colleges: Agriculture and Natural Resources, Health Sciences, Law, Energy Resources, Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Business, Education and Environment and Natural Resources. The university is also a public research university which offers over 180 areas of study, supercomputers, research centers, small business development centers and medical residencies all over the state. There are also more than 200 student organizations on campus. Students who enroll at UW may pursue over 80 undergraduate and 90 graduate programs.
