Founded in 1908, Reed College is a 116-acre campus where students are required take a one- year humanities course. It also has produced Ph.D. candidates, which includes 156 National Science Fellows, 89 Fulbright Scholars, 31 Rhode Scholars and 65 Watson Fellows. There are 35 majors in 23 departments available to its 1,500 enrollees. Reed College is also home to the only student-run nuclear reactor in the country.
