Rice University is an elite private college in the Southwest founded in 1912, and sits on a 300-acre campus, offering around 73 majors and is famous for its research schools. Former US President George H.W. Bush was once an adjunct professor. It has a high graduation rate of 93%. Rice University has no fraternities or sororities but has a fun social campus life with activities such as water balloon fights and their annual Beer Bike relay race. Its stadium once hosted the Super Bowl, and was where former US President John F. Kennedy delivered his famous speech asking Americans to support their space race mission to the moon.
