As the state’s oldest and largest, as well as the flagship in the University of Nebraska system, it established the world’s first undergraduate psychology laboratory. It is a research-extensive institution, classified as a “highest research activity,” with an objective to reach $450 million in research expenditures by 2025. There are 10 different colleges offering more than 150 undergraduate majors, 100 graduate programs, and 20 pre-professional programs, as it accommodates almost 26,000 students. It also has about 500 organizations for the students, as the university places a high value on student involvement.
