The University of Wisconsin – Madison was founded in 1848, and sits on a 936-acre campus. It is home to a large student body of nearly 43,000 students, and recognizes around 750 student clubs and organizations. There are notable alumni and faculty who are Nobel Prize and Pulitzer Prize awardees. The university’s 24 different schools and colleges offer over 200 undergraduate, and over 250 master’s, professional, and doctoral programs.
