Best:
Residents of Michigan have it goooood. Not only do they get to enjoy miles of beautiful lakeside shorelines, they also get to play some of the best 18-holes of golf whenever they choose! Because of this, there are more public golf courses, registered boats and picturesque lighthouses that any other state.
The state borders four of the Great Lakes namely, Lake Eerie, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, and Lake Superior, all of which have their own allure. If fishing isn’t your thing, then maybe a trip to the state’s many country clubs can help you pass your time.
Worst:
While enjoying a round of golf or spending a day at one of the lakes is awesome, they don’t hide Michigan’s bad side. Detroit and Flint, two of the nation’s worst cities to live in, are found within the state’s borders. Not only that, the state is notorious for identity theft, with over 15,000 cases brought to the authorities’ attention over the past year.
Also, Michigan’s low rankings for transparency and accountability, got it and “F” rating from The Center for Public Integrity, something Michigan residents aren’t happy about.
