Best:
Arkansas isn’t called The Natural State for nothing. It’s expansive parks, warm summer weather, and beautiful wide open spaces make it the perfect place for outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and, not surprisingly, hunting.
Duck hunting, in particular, is what Arkansas is known for, which is why year after year, hordes of shooters from all parts of the US converge there for the hunting season, making it the only state in the America where the most ducks are harvested annually. Its popularity with the hunting community has made it the home of the World Championship Duck Calling Contest, an annual event held in the town of Stuttgart, located in the northern part of the state.
Worst:
Duck hunting might be fun, but getting good education is way more important, something that Arkansas is poor at. In a recent Forbes ranking, Arkansas found itself among the 5 least educated states in the nation, having the lowest percentage of graduate degree holders in 2018.
Arkansas also has the fewest broadband users, with only three-quarters of households able to get access to internet due to the lack of resources that will allow them to connect to the service.
Lastly, Arkansas has the highest divorce rate of all the 50 states, registering 23.4 divorces for every 1,000 people.
