Best:
Probably the best thing about The Centennial State is its low obesity rate which is almost 5% lower than those of other states. Colorado residents are known to be the most physically active Americans compared to people living elsewhere in the nation. It is because of this that the state has some of the fittest residents in the USA.
Worst:
Another thing that people consider to be the worst in Colorado is its high altitude, being almost 7,000 feet above sea level. Denver, CO, for example, has oxygen levels which are 17% lower those of other states, something that can literally make a person sick. This lack of breathable air can make someone who isn’t used to it feel dizzy, nauseous, tired and woozy, which certainly is no fun at all.
Worse than the altitude sickness is Colorado’s high rate of deaths from drug overdose, and prescription drugs, most particularly pain killers such as Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone, Methadone and Fentanyl are the main causes of addiction in the state.
Federal government data show that the state has problems with what are known as major intoxicants: Marijuana, Alcohol, Cocaine and Opioids, with a third of residents in certain parts of the state believed to be consuming dangerous amounts.
