Oregon, located in the US’ western seaboard just North of California, is a haven for those who put a premium on natural beauty and culture. The state has miles of coastline that open to spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. Not only that, its acres of green woodland make it perfect for those who love spending their free time outdoors.
The state’s climate also makes it perfect for growing a wide variety of fresh produce, including the best grapes, which is why Oregon now home to some of the country’s notable vineyards and wineries. The beer in Oregon is also excellent, and with the state having the most breweries than any other state in the country, buying a pint for your buddies only became easier.
Furthermore, 24/7 Wall Street ranks The Beaver State as the most environmentally-friendly state in America.
Worst:
What we don’t understand is why Oregon ranks as the most depressed state in the nation, despite it being so naturally beautiful and peaceful. It has the most number of adults diagnosed with the mental illness compared to other states in the country.
Additionally, the state of Oregon has the highest number of sex offenders in the country. 676 out of every 100,000 people have committed or have been involved in a sex crime.
Lastly, according to 24/7 Wall Street, Oregon ranks 6th in their list of places with the highest number of serial killers. 7.36 out of every 1,000,000 people are murdered by serial offenders, making the state quite creepy if you ask us.
